What is your role:

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced project/team leader with strong management, design, and technical expertise to join a wonderful Senior Team and lead project delivery while actively contributing to the practice's growth.

As an Associate, you'll oversee project delivery, providing expert guidance to ensure smooth progress at every stage. You'll work collaboratively with the team, ensuring projects meet the highest professional standards across a diverse range of projects. Your role will extend to business development,where you'll collaborate with Directors to identify new opportunities, craft fee proposals, and nurture client relationships. Within the Senior Team, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and developing the practice, taking the lead on strategic matters such as CDM and BIM implementation.

Located in East London with a team of approximately 15 members, our client is an award-winning mixed-use architectural practice celebrated for their commitment to exceptional design in everyday spaces. Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery lead, providing professional oversight, guidance and advice to other team members.
  • The opportunity to work on projects at all stages.
  • Ensure projects are managed to a professional standard and in accordance with the practices’ procedures.
  • Support other teams in any capacity that is required.
  • Work with the Directors to generate new work, fee proposals and programmes.
  • Manage and develop client relationships.
  • Contribute to the management and development of the Practice as part of the Senior Team.
  • Lead on specific strategic professional matters (e.g. CDM and BIM).

 

All applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in the delivery of in the UK projects in different sectors and of varying size from inception to completion (a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience).
  • ARB Registration and knowledge of contract management.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and teams effectively and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to take the lead in REVIT; experience in BIM coordination preferred.
  • An active interest in the business side of architecture, flexibility and initiative

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills:

  • 10 years’ post qualification experience
  • Experience in UK conservation and heritage project delivery and management
  • Have excellent design, technical and conservation skills and experience
  • Have a strong understanding of the UK Building and Planning regulations
  • Proven experience working on all RIBA stages
  • Demonstrate good client-facing communication skills
  • AABC or RIBA SCA/ CA accreditation is essential
  • Experience with NEC4 contracts.
  • Qualification or experience with NEC Supervisor role is desirable
  • Proficiency in BIM/ Revit an advantage
  • Be well organised, proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and projects

Summary of Role:

This role is unique, presenting an opportunity for career advancement within the company with the potential to evolve into an Associate position in the future. You will be working full time on Data Centre Projects in all design stages all over Europe. Previous experience in Data Centre work would be a great advantage, however training can be provided for candidates who can demonstrate capability of running multi-disciplinary international design teams. Your main focus will be master planning Data Centre sites across Europe and working with a European design team. Although full project involvement is required the majority of work will be across Riba stages A to D.

Ideal Candidate:

  • You should be a Project Leader / Architect who has the future intention of stepping into an Associate Role
  • You should have at least 3 years post qualified experience
  • You are independent and resourceful, able to report on team work to an Associate Director.
  • You are an RIBA / ARB member
  • Particular experience needs to be mostly / very strong in RIBA stages A to D more than in stages E to F
  • You should have at least 3 years Revit / BIM
  • Must demonstrate ability and experience in the lead designer role managing the full design team.

Desirable:
  • Experience in the design and co-ordination of complex tender packages for fit-outs and complex M&E led projects.
  • Experience in checking technical submissions.
  • Track record on working with Client Design Standards.
  • Leading and managing multinational multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Current Passport and have the ability to travel freely in Europe without Visa. Must be willing to do overseas site meetings within Europe twice monthly when required by programme.
  • Revit / BIM on complex models. Clash detection / Navis works an advantage. Must have worked on fully integrated / federated models from a large multi-disciplinary team.

The practice has an opportunity for REVIT Technician /Technologist or Architect who will be working on Date Centre projects all over Europe.

This Architectural Technologist role is for the construction stages utilising your technical skills fully on large scale technology projects.

The projects are all in Work Stage 5 and the practice is appointed by a Contractor to work with them coordinating the sub-contractor information in the REVIT models. It is very much a technical role on facades, subcontractor co-ordination and fit-out work.

REVIT is essential and experience must be on large scale projects with complex model structures.

To be successful you need to be able to demonstrate exceptionally good technical knowledge on previous projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with Associate Director and manage multi-disciplinary consultants and work autonomously.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified Technologist / Architect
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing
  • RIBA stage 5 experience
  • Previous latter project experience demonstrated in portfolio
  • Previous experience in design and coordination of complex tender packages for fit-out and complex M&E led projects
  • Able to follow design standards
  • Able to travel freely to Europe without passport restrictions
  • Strong REVIT knowledge
  • BIM, clash detection / Navisworks an advantage.
