Fantastic opportunity for an ACA / ACCA qualified Finance Associate / Director to be part of highly successful, Global Architecture firm.

The position of Finance Director, based in Central London, will be responsible for both the company's London and Dublin studios. 

This role covers full financial responsibility for London and Dublin, leading and managing the local finance team.

Your main responsibilities will include providing financial insights, forecasts and recommendations, to support the strategic decision making process.  You will also be involved in overseeing the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial reporting pack to the US parent, including analytics, banking cash management and preparation of cash flow forecasts.

You need to have experience in financial planning including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and analysis, as well as overseeing and managing all payroll functions.

Skills required:

  • ACA / ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Minimum 10 years professional accounting experience.  Prefer candidates from a design firm or architectural practice or auditors / accountants.
  • Experience working for global firm with US parent preferred and experience of working internationally, in particular Middle East
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision or other resource planning tool advantages
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong communicator

We are currently collaborating with an exceptional client, renowned for their numerous awards and prestigious spot on the Architecture Journal Top 100 list. They have asked us to find a skilled Contract Administrator for their Colchester studio.

As a pivotal role within the organisation, the opportunity for Contract Administrator involves minimising risks associated with working with Sub Consultants, ultimately contributing to the maximisation of the company's profitability. The successful Contracts Administrator will play a crucial role in administering and managing Sub Consultant Agreements, aligning with company procedures and policies. Responsibilities include tracking progress, engaging in negotiations, and raising Sub Consultant purchase orders.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Administering and managing Sub Consultant Agreements both directly and through supervision of appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Facilitating the negotiation of contract terms with both Operational Partner and/or External Legal Consultant and Sub Consultants
  • Reviewing existing contracts and updating them
  • Monitoring contractual performance using spreadsheets
  • Quality Control
  • Produce and issue Purchase Orders to sub consultants
  • Attend weekly catch up meetings with Purchase Ledger Controller and Senior Finance Project Support


This role has the potential to extend to management of Client agreements in future.

Skills & Qualifications Required

  • Experience of construction agreements (RIBA, NEC, CIC etc) – DESIRABLE, If not, then proven experience of legal agreements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
