About the Role:

Our client, a progressive and purpose-driven architectural practice with a strong commitment to people, planet, and purpose, is seeking a talented Architect to join their Bristol studio.

The role offers exposure to all RIBA stages and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, and specialists.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring design quality and technical compliance.
  • Provide professional guidance to design and construction teams.
  • Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, building strong client and consultant relationships.
  • Prepare drawings, design submissions, technical information, reports, and specifications.
  • Present design ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage workload across multiple projects.

Key Requirements:

  • ARB-registered Architect (RIBA Part 3).
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in design and delivery-focused practice.
  • Strong Revit and Enscape skills (Photoshop and InDesign desirable).
  • Demonstrable portfolio across a variety of project stages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative mindset, with a genuine passion for creating purposeful, people-focused places.

What is your role:

We’re looking for two Senior Architectural Designers or Architects with solid experience to join a well-established, award-winning firm with 45 years of expertise. Be part of their growing team of 50 talented professionals.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and design a variety of residential projects, from small developments to large-scale layouts of 10-500+ homes, guiding them from feasibility through to planning and delivery. You'll play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable solutions, managing small teams, and mentoring junior staff, all while helping shape vibrant communities.

 

What makes you good at your job:

  • At least 5 years of UK-based experience working on residential housing developments RIBA stages 0-6
  • Strong expertise in residential layout design and architecture for outline and reserved matters applications.  
  • Passionate about both urban design and architecture.  
  • Solid knowledge of current legislation with a focus on CDM regulations compliance.  
  • Experienced in preparing key project documents, including Design Access Statements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders, lead teams, and mentor junior technicians.  
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; and experience with Revit.  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.  
  • Hand sketching skills are a bonus but not essential.

Role Summary

The business has number of permanent positions within their Bristol studio for Qualified and Senior Architects.   • At least a couple of years’ experience working as an Architect (post qualification) within a dynamic design organisation.
  • Ideally, experience of using REVIT systems, with the ability to share knowledge with others.
  • Portfolio will demonstrate strong technical knowledge alongside excellent design skills on a range of medium to large scale projects.
  • Display a sound understanding of technical issues.
