My client is looking for a talented BIM Coordinator / Revit Technologist to join their team in a hybrid role that offers the opportunity to contribute to project coordination, BIM management, and architectural technologist duties.

We are working with a fantastic, well-established Architecture practice in cool and vibrant part of London.  The practice is both design led with a strong understanding of technical delivery.

 

Having won numerous awards for their projects, they are now on the look out for Technical drawing / technical production assistance.  

 

The role would suit an Architectural Technologist, Architectural Technician, Assistant Architect or Architect, as long as you are comfortable using REVIT and happy with project stage 4 onwards.

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 3-5 years UK experience
  • Previous experience of RIBA stages 4 onwards
  • Strong technical detailing ability
  • REVIT is essential
  • Familiar with UK Building regulations
  • Have proven portfolio of medium to large size projects in particular hotel schemes, however this is not essential
  • Good communication skills and team player

What is your role:

You will typically work on a major client account, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (both inside and outside the organisation), and managing a project team. Most of the projects are in the commercial sectors, such as data centres, logistics, offices, retail, and hospitality.

A large proportion of our work is based outside the UK so travel opportunities are available for those wishing to experience working on projects somewhere new. This is an executive practice and you will need to have strong technical experience stages 3 onwards.

  

What makes you good at your job:

  • You have a minimum least 2-3 years UK post qualification experience, preferably across all project work stages in a relevant sector
  • Ideally you will have experience working on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and or Hospitals.
  • You are a RIBA, ARB or equivalent registered Architect with experience and a good understanding of UK, US or EU permitting and construction
  • A strong track-record of delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4, 5 and 6
  • You are able to demonstrate a high level of technical detailing skill
  • You have strong design skills and technical knowledge.
  • You have solid working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Being a fluent speaker of French of German would be a great advantage.

What is your role:

You will be responsible for managing and delivering projects from concept to completion with efficient attention to detail through the implementation of ISO19650 Information Management Standards.

  • You an experienced Architectural Technologist working within the UK Building Regulations
  • Your CIAT registered (desirable) or have a university degree in Architectural Technology
  • You have experience of working directly with the client, contractor and design team (desirable)
  • You have a good working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction types
  • You have an excellent working knowledge of CAD systems including Revit
  • You have previously worked within the residential, education or commercial (business space) sector on large complex UK projects.
  • You are able to think clearly, are self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • You’re a skilled presenter both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills
  • You are someone who thrives in a social, encouraging, friendly environment.
  • You are highly computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications

What the role includes:

  • Working closely alongside other consultants, in preparing and coordinating construction packages including technical drawings, schedules and specifications.
  • Leading the detailed design process and coordinating design information.
  • Carrying out risk assessments.
  • Specifying the appropriate technology and tools to be used in the project and advising where this requires deviation from the initial design plans.
