We have an exceptional opportunity available for a skilled Assistant Architect / Architect to join an award-winning Architecture firm located in a trendy part of London.

This position is ideal for a Newly Qualified Architect or Assistant Architect (both levels are welcome to apply) who will become an integral part of the planning team, collaborating closely with the Senior Architect.

As the chosen candidate, your responsibilities will encompass client meetings, ensuring the delivery of projects to the highest quality standards, and conducting thorough QA checks before finalizing designs at the studio. A collaborative mindset is crucial, as you'll be working alongside a diverse team of professionals and consistently upholding the practice's positive and professional image.

The projects you will be involved in predominantly revolve around Hotel / Hospitality, Residential, Built to Rent, and Co-living developments, making this a varied and exciting opportunity for any aspiring architect.

This is a design led role with the below duties:

  • Help ensure the project is delivered within budget and programme
  • Advise the direction on design and or technical aspects of their projects
  • Facilitate reviews and design sessions
  • Maintain regular contact with client and design team
  • Work autonomously and lead on the direction of the design with high level of technical competency
  • Must have good working knowledge of construction and technical design
  • Coordinate and write D&A access statements
  • IT Skills to include: Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign,Photoshop and Sketchup with experience in environmental and energy analysis processes and software favourable

As an Architect, in this role you will prepare and develop drawings, models, images and other documents relating to design and technical documentation, covering all RIBA stages.

Architect key requirements:

  • a minimum of three to four years’ practice experience working as an architect at all RIBA stages (especially stage 3 & 4)

What is your role:

You will be joining an award winning, AJ100 listed practice working on several large-scale schemes, including affordable & luxury residential, hotels, offices and retail. The talented team of 60 plus also have the skills to deliver mixed-use, masterplanning and regeneration projects at a variety of scales.

 

As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality technical drawings and detailed packages using Revit. You will be primarily assigned to projects from RIBA stages 3 onwards, allowing you to contribute your skills and expertise during the critical phases of project development.

  

What makes you good at your job:

  • Qualified as an Architect with sound technical understanding of UK construction processes, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • 2-3 years post-Part 3 UK professional work experience.
  • Experience working on large residential, commercial and mixed-use projects and delivering projects using Revit across all RIBA work stages, particularly from Stage 3 onwards.
  • Experience of working on work shared projects, managing highly complex Revit models and coordinating with other consultants in a 3D environment.
  • Good understanding of BIM process and and workflow fundamentals as well as BIM Industry Standards.
  • Knowledge of NBS Chorus advantageous.

Summary of Role:

The practice has a series of exciting projects currently within the UK, working within the commercial, residential, and community sectors and are also currently in communication with companies in Europe regarding innovative and sustainable designs. The ideal candidate will have at least 4+ UK projects experience, have worked across all RIBA stages of large-scale complex projects with great Revit skills.

 

You will be leading and developing projects and packages from early concept through design and technical development, preparing drawings, specifications and construction documents. You will be a great communicator who enjoys liaising with teams and clients and have an interest and commitment to developing the practice outlook and culture as they grow.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, with demonstrable verbal and written communications skills
  • Minimum of four years in UK practice

  • Architects must be registered with ARB (RIBA is also desired)
