Our client, a well-established property and construction consultancy based in Shoreditch, is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across London and the Home Counties.

The Role

You will be working as part of a dynamic architectural and surveying team, contributing to a range of commercial, residential, and educational projects. The role involves undertaking measured surveys, preparing detailed drawings, and managing planning and building control applications from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting accurate measured building surveys
  • Preparing detailed drawings using AutoCAD
  • Producing and submitting Planning and Building Control applications
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and local authorities
  • Supporting the architectural team on design and technical matters

About You

  • Proven experience as an Architectural Technician within a consultancy or practice environment
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and confident producing high-quality technical drawings
  • Experience across various project sectors, ideally including commercial and residential schemes
  • BTEC ONC/HNC (minimum qualification) in a relevant discipline
  • CIAT membership advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and delivery of landscape architecture projects across multiple sectors

  • Collaborate with specialists, including engineers and ecologists, to deliver exceptional designs

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician
  • Strong CAD skills (Vectorworks and/or Revit preferred, but not essential)

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams in producing accurate technical drawings, BIM models, and construction documentation using Revit. You’ll work on high-performance buildings primarily data centres, but also industrial or warehouse schemes across multiple international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed technical drawings and Revit models for architectural packages
  • Support project teams through RIBA Stages 3–5
  • Ensure where necessary compliance with UK building regulations and client standards

Position: REVIT Technician / Technologist (3-5 years experience)

What the role entails:

  • Produce detailed technical information for tender packages and construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work on internal projects to assist with the delivery of RIBA Stages 3-5.
  • Develop and refine Revit models in alignment with practice and industry BIM standards.
  • Engage and collaborate with external consultants and contractors to ensure seamless project execution, including regular site visits, meetings, and communication to resolve any technical or design issues.
  • Develop and refine architectural designs, ensuring they meet client specifications and regulatory requirements, while providing creative solutions to design challenges.
  • Utilise advanced Revit skills to produce high-quality architectural and interior drawing packs.
  • Attend BIM coordination meetings and enforce BEP across the project.
  • Contribute to improving BIM workflows and developing the company’s BIM frameworks and Revit libraries.
  • Assist the team with BIM authoring, federation and coordination, clash detection, and product data creation/mining.
  • Stay up to date with the latest innovations in the BIM world and suggest best practice methods.
  • Manage BIM coordination issues and engage with design teams for resolution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Architecture and/or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of BIM Level 2 frameworks.
  • Experience as a Revit Architect / BIM Coordinator, familiar with RIBA Stages 3-5.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working as a BIM Technician.
  • Advanced experience and competence in Revit authoring and collaboration between Revit & Navisworks Manage.

   

Software Knowledge:

·        Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, BIM Collab, BIM 360, Enscape.
