Summary of Role:

The Role

About the role:

You will be accountable for ensuring that each project is streamlined and producing up to date commercial and project management data to secure consistent cash-flow and revenue for the wider business:

  • Using bespoke ERP software (CMap) to both monitor and regularly produce reports of each of the 100 projects plus
  • Mobilising resources and assisting the PM in the monitoring of resources, including management against project programmes /fees.
  • Production of timesheet submissions on a regular basis to various clients
  • Reporting on global resource utilisation to improve operational efficiency
  • Keeping up-to-date and preparing monthly applications for payments
  • Co-ordinating commercial invoicing data between project and finance teams to ensure monthly invoicing targets are met
  • Monitoring actual revenue achieved vs. forecasted revenue to ensure the business is accomplishing revenue targets on a monthly basis
  • Co-ordinating subconsultant invoice approvals between project and finance teams
  • Document control – issue and receipt of documentation between contractor, client and subconsultants.

      

The ideal candidate would be expected to take initiative and gain further responsibilities in the practice as their experience increases. Relevant further training and mentoring by the practice will be offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery lead, providing professional oversight, guidance and advice to other team members.
  • The opportunity to work on projects at all stages.
  • Ensure projects are managed to a professional standard and in accordance with the practices’ procedures.
  • Support other teams in any capacity that is required.
  • Work with the Directors to generate new work, fee proposals and programmes.
  • Manage and develop client relationships.
  • Contribute to the management and development of the Practice as part of the Senior Team.
  • Lead on specific strategic professional matters (e.g. CDM and BIM).

 

All applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in the delivery of in the UK projects in different sectors and of varying size from inception to completion (a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience).
  • ARB Registration and knowledge of contract management.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and teams effectively and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to take the lead in REVIT; experience in BIM coordination preferred.
  • An active interest in the business side of architecture, flexibility and initiative
