Our client seeks a skilled Senior Interior Designer to join their F&B /Hospitality team based in London. We are looking for an Interior Designer who will possess exceptional design abilities and contribute to captivating bar, restaurant, and leisure projects both in the UK and internationally. The team specialises in delivering upscale, distinctive interior fit-out projects for F&B and hospitality, engaging in all stages from feasibility assessment and concept development to project implementation across a range of sizes and budgets.

Our Client

With expertise in Hospitality, Residential, and F&B design, our client possesses a deep passion for crafting exceptional, tailor-made spaces that precisely meet their client’s requirements. Their primary emphasis lies in the initial design phases, encompassing concept development, brand integration, and creative vision, which enable them to deliver meticulously detailed and one-of-a-kind environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take charge as the lead designer, overseeing and managing extensive hospitality and leisure projects from the initial concept phase to final completion both in the UK and internationally.
  • Develop and present comprehensive design proposals for project pitches.
  • Produce exceptional mood boards and 2D /3D design presentations, ensuring that the design aligns with the client's requirements and adheres to the project budget.
  • Lead site meetings and internal meetings, engaging with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Prepare detailed working drawings and technical packs, including AutoCAD plans, elevations, and joinery details, as well as specifications for finishes and furniture, with assistance from the project team.
  • Provide direction and make edits to the CAD and 3D sketch models created by the team.
  • Manage the ordering and organization of samples for projects, while also creating distinct finish boards.
  • Supervise and mentor Junior and Mid-weight Designers within the team.
  • Contribute to the growth and advancement of the hospitality interiors team within the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team and report directly to the Creative Director.

    

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Degree qualified Interior Design or Interior Architecture with a minimum of 6 years of experience in leading and managing high-end F&B/Hospitality projects in the UK.
  • Extensive portfolio displaying highly creative and technically proficient hospitality designs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in construction, fabrication, and on-site execution, particularly within the F&B sector.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and excellent proficiency in software tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, and SketchUp.
  • A deep understanding of FF&E sourcing and negotiation, ensuring the best possible price, terms, and value for clients.
  • In-depth comprehension of project timelines and maintaining up-to-date information for all parties involved.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional conceptual abilities and proficiency in freehand drawing.
  • A record of developing distinctive concepts for bars, restaurants, and leisure establishments.
  • Highly organised and focused, capable of effectively managing both their own workload and the workload of the design team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project processes, ranging from concept development to on-site implementation.
  • Familiarity with conducting ongoing research on furniture, products, finishes, and materials.
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations, British Standards, and other relevant legislation. 

 

The role will be based at our client’s studio in London, with opportunities to work from home one day per week (usually on Fridays). The applicant must have the legal right to work in the UK.

They were first established as a boutique studio focused on luxury retail in 2002 but have now expanded into a global design firm with projects ranging from masterplans and architecture to interiors and products. Their unique approach is reflected in the studio ethos and appreciation for the finer things in life, whether it be championing cuisine or promoting personal development.

Summary of Role:

Our client is looking for a highly creative and talented Interior Designer to work on luxury mixed use international projects. Based in their west London penthouse, you will work within a multidisciplinary project team to design and realize projects for the most innovative retail operator in the world.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 8 years of luxury design experience delivering mixed-use projects globally.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills, naturally igniting great rapport and adapting style to all levels.
  • Superb knowledge of materials and finishes, confidently take responsibility from concept to completion.
  • Able to confidently take responsibility in leading SD & DD package delivery programming resources and workload.
  • Able to confidently assist the associate in the design and production of interior or architectural projects within the office.
  • Manage and mentor a small group, leading and motivating them towards deadlines.
  • Consider the relationship between creativity and technical design as fluid.
  • Collaborative with other disciplines such as signage, installation, and branding.
  • Expert level knowledge of Rhino and AutoCAD required (Visualisation / FF&E delivery expertise preferred), Knowledge of REVIT preferred.
  • Previous experience working for an international firm.

A leading Workplace Design & Build company with over 40 studio’s globally are looking for Senior Technical Designer / REVIT Technologist to join their team in London. Our client works on Interior projects for some of the UK’s best known companies and have a variety of projects and is looking for someone with workplace project experience.

As the Senior Technical Designer, you will have strong REVIT experience and would have worked on similar commercial workplace interior fit out projects. You will continually enhance depth and breadth of design/technical design skills, staying current with external market. The role requires you to build strong relationships with team members and actively participate in mentorship programmes and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Key requirements are the following:

  • REVIT software proficiency is a must
  • Minimum 6 years technical designer experience
  • Previous experience in delivering drawings and specifications as part of design team.
  • D&B/Commercial/ Traditional Workplace experience is preferred – if not definitely have tight and fast paced deadline experience
  • Happy that the position is a technical design role primarily
  • £50-60,000 per annum salary expectations
  • Sketchup / Photoshop visualising experience is a great benefit to have
