Your role will involve taking brief from practice Director and developing it to come up with concept design ideas based on the functionality and structure of building project.  

The practice has won 2 new projects one of which is refurbishing the existing building and the other is complete new build.

The role:

  • hands on role and not managerial working under the guidance of Director
  • good knowledge of materials / furniture / detailing  
  • the brief might evolve in the future and would be great at adapting.
  • Autocad , SketchUP, Adobe Suite

Ideal candidate will have proven portfolio of contemporary residential project.

The role:

The role requires you to assists with concept designs based on the functionality and structure of an existing building and space whilst sensitively and innovatively redesigning an existing interior space.  This would suit an interior architect / architect with minimum 3 years’ experience to focus on the functionality and material construction of luxury retail interior spaces. You will address structural elements like window and door placements, ventilation, heating and plumbing, as well as interior decoration.

What makes you good at your job:

You will need to have the creative skills to explore new conceptual designs and layouts to re-imagine interior environments. You need to be good problem solver and be able to pitch, and draw using AutoCAD.  The role also requires good communication skills both visually and verbally, and most importantly you need to understand the fundamentals of interior architecture and adaptive reuse.

The practice:

Small studio based in trendy Notting Hiill owned by Swiss Architect Christophe, who has over 20 years experience and presence within Luxury Retail with projects in Europe and far East Asia. He opened his practice in the UK over 8 years ago and has team of 8 friendly and welcoming Architects and Interior Architects based in Notting Hill, London. The practice focus on the brands DNA to design a wealth of subtle expressive layers throughout that are ultimately essential to the branding of luxury stores.

Key Requirements:

  • Interior Architect or Architecture degree
  • Luxury Retail project experience
  • Confident, friendly communicator delivering design and technical solutions to both internal teams and clients
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • Comfortable at small practice environments

In return:

  • £45-55,000 per annum depending on your experience
  • Friendly team atmosphere
  • No over time required
