In this role, you will engage directly with clients, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality. You’ll oversee project reviews and quality assurance before they leave the studio, playing a key part in maintaining the firm’s excellent reputation.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, collaborative team player who thrives in a creative environment.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

We are looking to recruit an experienced, talented, creative Part 2 architectural assistant or a newly qualified architect with a strong ‘design eye’ to work on hospitaality projects with a focus on high quality / bespoke design. The successful candidates will prepare and develop drawings, models, images and other documents relating to design and technical documentation, covering planning stages.

 

This is a design led role with the below duties:

  • a minimum of two to three years’ practice experience working at planning and concept stages on ideally UK hospitality projects or UK luxury residential projects
  • excellent graphic skills and 3D design ability. Should be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp and have appropriate rendering competencies. Experience of Revit is required.
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, be confident, approachable and a strong team player
  • comfortable and confident in both client facing and contractor facing roles
  • will most likely have worked in a small to medium sized UK practice specialising in hospitality or residential projects

What is your role:

  • Drive the development and execution of project designs from inception to completion across multiple design stages.
  • Develop and coordinate project designs, details, material specifications, and technologies, aligning them with project specifications.
  • Ensure the quality, continuity, and consistency of project drawings and documentation through effective coordination.
  • Collaborate seamlessly across all project disciplines, including architecture, structure, MEP, cost control, and interior design.
  • Foster positive and progressive day-to-day communications with clients, consultants, and the internal team.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with the firm's internal design stage and adheres to the overall project program.
  • Monitor and uphold project milestones, employing established studio tools such as project action lists, project programs, and site reports.

  • Demonstrate a proven track record with a minimum of 3 - 5 year's experience in project management, detail and design development, construction documents, construction administration, and site supervision, particularly in high-end projects.
  • Showcase a portfolio featuring high-quality projects of similar scale, emphasising experience in the residential, private villa, and commercial sectors.
  • Exhibit a substantial understanding of client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, and construction administration.
  • Display self-motivation and self-discipline, thriving in a collaborative studio environment; possess the ability to organise, encourage, and lead project teams.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
