We are working with a well-established, chartered construction and residential development specialist to recruit an experienced Architect / Senior Architect for their growing team.

Established for over 10 years and originally focused on complex basement construction, our client has evolved into a highly regarded design-led construction company delivering high-end residential projects, including technically challenging builds and work within conservation areas. They are known for professionalism, technical excellence and a collaborative, detail-driven approach from concept through to completion.

This is a part-time role with flexible working hours, ideal for an architect seeking autonomy and balance. The client is happy to accommodate school runs and personal commitments, provided project deadlines and coordination requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Compliance
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and building surveys, including conservation area schemes
  • Liaise with Building Control and manage inspection reports
  • Ensure full compliance with UK planning and building regulations
Technical Design
  • Produce detailed construction drawings from RIBA Stage 4 to Stage 5
  • Develop sections, elevations, floor plans, staircase and joinery details
  • Review tender information and extract dimensions for estimating and site teams

Coordination & Project Support
  • Issue design checklists and manage client design inputs
  • Prepare subcontractor and consultant enquiries
  • Provide ongoing drawing support during construction, including variations
  • Produce feasibility and progress drawings where required

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Architectural Technologist
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK building regulations and planning
  • Experience working on conservation area projects
  • Proficiency in CAD (VectorWorks preferred; AutoCAD compatible)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

Desirable

  • Historic building conservation experience
  • Understanding of estimating or quantity take-offs

The Role

You’ll be involved in the design development and technical delivery of large-scale projects, working closely with multidisciplinary consultant teams. About the Role

Our client is a design-led, internationally active architecture practice based in North West London, currently seeking an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

The studio works across residential and commercial projects at varying scales in the UK and internationally. This role would suit someone with strong delivery-stage experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, in-office environment and contributing across both design and technical stages.

You’ll be involved across projects from concept through delivery, with a particular focus on technical coordination, construction packages, and project delivery.

This is a full-time, office-based role in North West London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to projects across all RIBA stages, with a focus on delivery
  • Produce and coordinate technical drawing packages

What We’re Looking For
