About the Role:
Our client is a well-established design-led architectural consultancy with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-profile infrastructure, transport, and masterplanning projects globally. With a key office in Central London and additional locations across Europe and the Middle East, they operate at the intersection of design and planning - supporting major international aviation clients.
They are now looking to appoint an Airport Planner with a minimum of 5 years' experience to join their growing aviation team. This is a hands-on planning and coordination role suited to someone with deep knowledge of airport functionality, passenger flows, and terminal configurations.
The role is based in London with hybrid working (minimum 2 days in-office).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support aviation masterplanning and terminal planning studies
- Prepare and review layouts using IATA and functional planning standards
- Participate in feasibility studies and early-stage design coordination
- Present findings and concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams, both internally and externally
- Support greenfield and existing airport expansion projects
- Manage project timelines and deliverables within planning teams
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in airport/aviation planning
- Strong understanding of IATA standards, capacity modelling, and terminal layout design
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate planning resources
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Planning, Architecture, or related field
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit desirable but not essential)
