Our client is an award-winning architecture and design studio with a long-standing reputation for quality, sustainability and creative excellence. Working across a diverse range of sectors — from workplace and hospitality to residential and heritage — they have built an enviable track record and a loyal client base. With a collegiate, people-first culture and a growing multi-studio presence, this is a practice with genuine ambition and a great environment in which to develop your career.

They are now looking for a Bids & Marketing Coordinator to join their small, close-knit Marketing, Bids, Graphics and Branding team on a permanent basis, available to start as soon as possible.

The Role

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of the practice’s growth activity. You will manage and drive pre-qualification and tender submissions from start to finish, producing compelling, well-crafted documents that communicate the studio’s expertise, experience and values. Our client typically runs around five submissions per month, with two or three active simultaneously and a standard turnaround of a couple of weeks — though last-minute requests do arise. The ability to stay calm, organised and focused under pressure is therefore essential.

You will work closely with architects, directors and project teams to gather content, shape narratives and deliver polished submissions on time. The variety of typologies the practice works across means the role is genuinely varied and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end pre-qualification and tender submissions
  • Write, edit and tailor compelling responses that effectively communicate the practice’s strengths
  • Produce and maintain a content library including project sheets, CVs and capability statements
  • Design and lay out submission documents, primarily using Adobe InDesign
  • Manage multiple concurrent submissions and deadlines without compromising on quality
  • Monitor new business pipelines and identify relevant opportunities
  • Ensure all submissions are brand-compliant, accurate and professionally presented
  • Support wider team activity including award submissions, social media and website content as required

About You

We are looking for a proactive bid professional with strong copywriting skills and a proven ability to manage multiple submissions simultaneously. You’ll be comfortable working in a small team, liaising with senior stakeholders, and turning complex information into clear, persuasive copy.

Essential

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a bids, practice growth or marketing coordination role, ideally within a design or creative professional services environment
  • Excellent copywriting skills —clear, persuasive and tailored to audience
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple submissions concurrently under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to proof-reading and quality control
  • Confident communicator, able to brief and liaise effectively with directors and senior team members
  • Highly organised with strong time management and the ability to reprioritise quickly

Desirable

  • Experience using Adobe InDesign to produce professional submission and marketing documents
  • Familiarity with monitoring new business pipelines and opportunities
  • An interest in architecture, design or the built environment

What’s on Offer

  • £35,000 – £40,000 salary depending on experience
  • Hybrid working with a Central London studio base
  • A small, supportive team where your contribution is visible and genuinely valued
  • Varied, interesting work across a wide range of sectors and submission types
  • Opportunity to contribute to award submissions, branding and wider marketing activity
  • A studio culture that invests in people through training, mentoring and professional development

If you have strong bids experience, excellent writing skills and are looking for your next move within a creative, design-led environment, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with your CV and a brief note on your bids background.
