What is your role:
You will be joining a prominent AJ100-listed architectural firm based in London, becoming part of a team renowned for innovative designs and a sustainable building approach. The firm's diverse portfolio spans commercial, mixed-use, and residential developments, consistently delivering projects that seamlessly integrate functionality and aesthetic appeal. As a Senior Architect, your role involves serving as a crucial link between the management team and architectural teams, leveraging extensive experience to autonomously handle projects of varying size, sector, and complexity. This award-winning AJ100-listed practice boasts a team of 50 architects, including four Senior Architects, with a well-defined hierarchy and support structure, emphasizing design leadership from concept to completion on premium projects.
What the role includes:
- Manage day-to-day project operations, serving as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and various external stakeholders.
 - Keep a close eye on project progress, profitability, and resource allocation using CMAP.
 - Provide technical expertise and conduct briefings with the internal design team.
 - Attend internal and external meetings, representing the Practice effectively.
 - Work independently while recognising the importance of delegation.
 - Communicate designs clearly and effectively, demonstrating contract administration knowledge.
 - Lead, manage, delegate, and motivate the design team, ensuring awareness of programming and resourcing.
 - Apply expert knowledge of CAD and BIM software tools.
 - Stay informed on Risk Management, UK regulations, and standards.
 - Implement project checklists, including Climate Change Guidance and Heritage Checklists.
 - Ensure sustainable design at all RIBA stages by coordinating with consultants. 
 
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
 - Demonstrate a track record of working across all RIBA stages on UK projects.
 - Showcase excellent design, technical, and conservation skills.
 - Exhibit a strong understanding of UK Building and Planning regulations.
 - Display effective client-facing communication skills.
 - ARB or RIBA accreditation is desirable.
 - Proficient in BIM/Revit and Autocad.
 - Demonstrate strong organisational, proactive, and enthusiastic work approach.
 - Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 - Showcase leadership experience in managing small to medium-sized teams.
 - Proven experience in taking responsibility for the financial success of projects, with strong commercial awareness.
