Our client is a boutique interior design and architecture practice working predominantly across commercial and workplace interiors. Recent and current projects include a full building refurbishment recently reaching practical completion, alongside work for major names in tech, retail and financial services.
The studio is known for its close-knit, design-led culture, with directors deeply involved in project delivery and a strong emphasis on developing talent internally rather than hiring fully-formed seniors.
Due to continued growth - a high volume of projects and fee proposals currently in motion — our client is looking to appoint a strong midweight or new senior Interior Designer, initially on a temp basis (approximately 3–4 months) transitioning to permanent for the right candidate.
This is a predominantly design-focused role. The practice has its own in-house technical team, so the successful candidate won't be producing technical packages directly — but will need a solid understanding of how technical delivery works, holding the back-and-forth with the technical team and knowing when a technical solution compromises design intent.
The trajectory for this role is towards running projects independently over time, reporting initially to a senior team member and ultimately to the directors.
Our client offers a genuinely design-focused studio with real scope to grow into running projects independently.
Clear path to increasing project ownership and autonomy
