Design Lead - Interiors

As the Design Lead, your role is to take charge of the day-to-day intricacies of the design process, steering projects from RIBA stage 0-6 with flair and expertise. From conducting thorough research and creative ideas to crafting innovative concepts and overseeing production and site implementation, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing studio clients' visions to life. Reporting directly to your Project or Technical Leader, you'll be at the forefront of driving forward design initiatives, ensuring that every aspect of the project aligns seamlessly with high standards of quality and innovation.

As the Design Lead, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, guiding them towards the successful adoption of design ideas through your strong design and fundamentals. Moreover, you'll inspire and empower your team through mentoring, initiating research activities, and providing on-the-job training to enhance their core competencies.

Skills required:

• Portfolio Excellence: Proven portfolio of successful projects in commercial interior design within commercial workplace led projects.
• Core Competency: Proficient in interior and interior architecture with the ability to navigate the entire design process from concept development to project completion.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp; advantageous experience in Enscape & Revit,highlighting adaptability to industry-standard tools.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years plus proven experience in interior design, emphasising a strong focus on commercial projects.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership skills coupled with effective communication abilities, essential for guiding and collaborating within a design team.
• Project Management: Proven track record in project management, showcasing the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial design codes, regulations, and industry standards,ensuring compliance and quality in project execution.
• Mentorship and Inspiration: Ability to inspire and mentor junior design team members, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
