About the Role:

Our client, an established, award-winning international architecture studio with a strong presence in London and the Middle East, known for delivering high-specification commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments, are seeking a confident and detail-oriented Senior Architect to join their London team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on project delivery experience, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across all RIBA project stages. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to senior management, with oversight of the overall design vision and team mentoring responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from concept through to completion, with a focus on technical design, statutory compliance, and execution quality.
  • Develop and review detailed drawing packages, ensuring alignment with UK codes, local authority standards, and client requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, delegate tasks, and coordinate across internal teams and external consultants.
  • Organise and lead design meetings, manage actions, and ensure integration of all sub-consultant information.
  • Enforce internal QA/QC processes, drafting standards, and ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and audit-ready.
  • Monitor progress against deadlines, maintain resource planning tools, and report risks or slippage to senior leadership.
  • Provide post-contract input including drawing issue coordination, contractor queries, and site-specific technical reviews.
  • Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders, keeping accurate written records, minutes, and correspondence.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in architectural practice, with at least 5 years working on UK-based projects. International experience is welcomed but UK projects preferred
  • ARB-registered Architect with extensive delivery experience on complex, multi-sector developments. Architectural Designers (overseas qualified) with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Preferably with a background in multi-residential design and delivery, particularly within the UK context, but open to hospitality, commercial & large-Scale experience.
  • Strong technical capabilities and confident in overseeing detailed design and construction packages.
  • Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience setting up workflows, reviewing outputs, and guiding teams in a BIM-led environment.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from early design through to completion, coordinating teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations, codes, and planning requirements.
  • Self-starter who can integrate quickly into the team and begin contributing from day one.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage  client, consultant, and contractor relationships confidently.
  • Highly organised, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.

Benefits:

  • Salary & Bonus: Competitive salary with an annual discretionary bonus and salary review after 1 year.
  • Annual Leave: 23 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 24 days after one year.
  • Professional Memberships: Reimbursement for professional subscriptions (paid upfront, reimbursed the following month).
  • Health & Wellbeing: Workplace pension scheme and private health insurance for senior staff.
  • Office Culture: Expenses for site visits and overtime meals covered.
  • Flexible Working: While a full-time in-office role. Flexible working arrangements for personal appointments or emergencies, as well as flexible start and finish times.
  • Career Progression: Annual appraisals with personalised development plans and mentorship.
  • Training & CPD: Access to internal training and external CPD opportunities.
  • Team Culture: Friendly, collaborative studio with regular team meetings, Thursday drinks, and monthly breakfast sessions.

Our client fosters a progressive and structured working culture, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration, professional development, and design excellence.
