About the Role:
Our client, an established, award-winning international architecture studio with a strong presence in London and the Middle East, known for delivering high-specification commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments, are seeking a confident and detail-oriented Senior Architectural Technologist to join their London team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background thrives on precision, quality, and coordination. You’ll work closely with architects and consultants to ensure technical excellence across all design stages, taking ownership of detailed design development, compliance, and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee technical design packages from concept through to construction.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, building codes, and design standards.
- Review and coordinate all drawing outputs for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with project teams and sub-consultants to align deliverables and meet programme milestones.
- Provide technical input in consultant coordination meetings, design workshops, and post-contract support.
- Maintain internal QA/QC standards, including regular drawing reviews and issue tracking.
- Support the team in producing and updating NBS specifications and project documentation.
- Attend technical team meetings, provide mentoring support, and contribute to the ongoing refinement of internal delivery standards.
- Lead or contribute to authority submissions, resource tracking, and design coordination schedules
Key Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Architectural Technology.
- CIAT registered or working towards Chartered status preferred. Technicians with strong technical experience will be considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an architectural practice, including UK-based project delivery
- While international experience is welcomed, UK experience is preferred.
- Preferably with a background in multi-residential design and delivery, particularly within the UK context, but open to hospitality, commercial & large-Scale experience.
- Expert proficiency in Revit, with strong understanding of BIM workflows and standards.
- Confident in technical detailing, UK building regulations, and construction methodologies.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex project packages.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A self-starter, able to take initiative and drive technical quality across the team.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
