About the Role

‍

Our client is an award-winning London practice specialising in high-end residential, known for detail-led design and strong technical delivery. Their work frequently involves complex refurbishments, bespoke detailing and heritage-sensitive schemes, with close client contact throughout.

‍

The practice is in a growth phase, with clear plans for where the business is heading over the next few years. This is a position with scope to shape direction, not just deliver work handed down.

‍

This is a senior role within the high-end residential team, suited to an architect ready to operate at Associate level. It is not a design-support position. You will own your projects, oversee several at once, and contribute to how the practice operates as well as to what it produces.

‍

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-end residential projects across RIBA Stages 0–7, overseeing several live projects concurrently
  • Manage project teams and coordinate consultants
  • Oversee technical design, detailing and construction information
  • Act as Contract Administrator (JCT experience preferred)
  • Present to clients, consultants and contractors, and contribute to fee proposals and the commercial side of delivery
  • Drive programme, quality control and delivery outcomes while mentoring junior team member

‍

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ post-qualification experience
  • ARB-registered Architect
  • AutoCAD proficient
  • High-end residential experience (essential)
  • Proven track record running projects end to end
  • Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and construction detailing
  • Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) essential; MicroStation beneficial
  • Listed buildings knowledge beneficial
  • Strong client-facing ability and team leadership
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with permanent UK right to work

Why Join?

‍

Our client offers a studio where Associates are trusted to lead, mentor and shape delivery standards, with a visible path towards greater involvement in how the practice is run alongside the directors.

  • Private health insurance and life assurance
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • CPD programme and ongoing professional support
  • Monthly studio lunches and regular socials, including weekly team drinks
  • Clear progression path to greater involvement in running the practice, which comes with time rather than from day one
