About the Role
The Senior Architectural Technologist will play a key role in leading projects through RIBA Stages 4–6, focusing on the delivery of large-scale care and supported living schemes. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and project teams to ensure design excellence, compliance, and coordination throughout all stages of design and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects through detailed and technical stages
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and consultants, ensuring accuracy and programme delivery
- Prepare and present detailed design proposals, specifications, and construction information
- Oversee tender and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with building regulations and CDM requirements
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and liaise with contractors and statutory authorities
- Mentor junior team members, promoting best practice in technical design and BIM workflows
- Manage client relationships and maintain project quality from concept to completion
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in architectural practice, ideally within the care or residential sectors
- Proficiency in Revit (essential), with experience in BIM coordination and document management
- Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM, and statutory approvals
- Demonstrable experience delivering RIBA Stages 4–6
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with client-facing confidence
- Chartered status (MCIAT) desirable but not essential
